Intrinsically Safe Solenoid Spool Valve NG6 in accordance with ISO 4401-03

The solenoid is built and certified as an intrinsically safe construction in accordance with the standards EN 50014, EN 50020 and EN 50284. It is certified with an EU design type test certification as a device of the category 1G and of the device group II and therefore it is suitable for applications in zone 0. The execution EEx ia IIC T6 with respect to the temperature class and the authorized gases covers the complete spectrum.

In operating environments with gas or gas mixtures representing an explosion hazard, an intrinsically safe electric circuit in normal operation, also, however, in case of abnormal occurrences, prevents the generation of sparks or of thermal effects, which could lead to an ignition of the gases or gas mixtures.
On request, an intrinsically safe power supply unit for providing the solenoid with electric power can be supplied. The slip-on coil can be rotated and easily replaced.

The valves are designed for a maximum volume flow of 20 l/min and for a maximum operating pressure of 300 bar. With respect to the spool types, all common versions can be supplied. Apart from versions with spring-centred mid-position and spring return, the detented pulse version is unique in the intrinsically safe field.
